The many uses of Soybeans 

Soybeans are the second largest agricultural market in Minnesota, but there are many across the state that are unaware of the many different ways that Minnesota soybeans are used. R&J Ag Reporter Nick Revier was at the Big Iron Farm Show, and caught up with Mark Askelson of the Minnesota Soybean Growers, who highlighted some of the ways Minnesota soybeans are being used. 

Askelson says soybeans are also used to make a fuel called biodiesel, which is continuing to grow in popularity. 

When it comes to production for food, and for fuel, Askelson says soybean production is sitting around a 50/50 split.
