Thompson Baseball Ready For State

The North Dakota State Class B Baseball Tournament gets underway Thursday at Newman Outdoor Field in Fargo.  Thompson goes for his fourth consecutive State title, as they open the tournament against Renville County at 11:30am.  Thompson Coach Nate Soulis (left of picture) talks about the Tommies’ bid to bring home another State title.

One key to Thompson’s success is shortstop and pitcher Thomas Schumacher (right of photo), who was named Region 2 Senior Player of the Year last week.  Soulis talks about Schumacher.  

Schumacher, who will play baseball at the University of Minnesota-Crookston next year, says he’s ready for another State Tournament.

Senior pitcher and first baseman Drew Odenbach is also looking ahead to State.
