Today is National Heat Stroke Awareness Day 

May 1 is National Heat Stroke Awareness Day, and Safe Kids Grand Forks is warning parents about the danger of leaving their children in vehicles unattended. Carma Hansen of Safe Kids Grand Forks tells us more about the dangers of leaving kids alone in cars. 

You often see people leave their child in a running vehicle thinking that it’s safe, and Hansen explains why it’s not. 

Hansen shares some of the things you can do as a parent to lower your chances of accidentally leaving your child in a car alone. 

Lastly, Hansen explained what you should do if you come across a child left alone in a car.
