Traill County Fire Emergency Declared
The Traill County Commission has declared a Fire Emergency and Burn Ban to remain in effect when the North Dakota Rangeland Fire Danger Rating is very high or extreme…and/or when a Red Flag Warning is in effect. This declaration comes as Traill County has had dry conditions with significant vegetative fuels. The declaration also states that the wear on equipment used in responding to a large wildfire could be in excess of the County’s resources.
The burn ban includes garbage and pit burning, burning of farmland, cropland or ditches and the use of fire to demolish buildings without permission from the designated fire authority.
Once again, this Fire Emergency and Burn Ban has been issued for Traill County.
