Twin Valley City Council meets
The Twin Valley City Council approved their 2025 tax levy at their meeting on Monday night. Twin Valley Mayor Mike Bolton says there will be no changes in people’s city tax rates next year, and he explains why.
Bolton says residents will be seeing a change in their garbage service after coming to a new agreement with Fuch’s Garbage Hauling.
It was also the final meeting for a pair of council members, and Bolton took some time to thank them for their service to the city.
Other agenda items included the adoption of the Norman County Cannabis Ordinance, and approval of building permits.
In other news the city also reached an agreement earlier this month with the Norman County Sheriff’s Office in regards to a policing contract after disbanding the Twin Valley Police Department last month. Bolton tells us more about the deal.
The Twin Valley City Council will meet next on Monday, January 13.
