Two Arrested In Halstad After Undercover Drug Deal
Two men are in custody and facing several drug charges after allegedly selling fentanyl pills to an undercover officer in Halstad last Friday. According to Norman County court records, Charlee Joseph Douglas Fugleberg traveled from Fargo to a gas station in Halstad, where he allegedly sold 75 “M30″ fentanyl pills to the undercover officer. Round, blue, M30 tablets are commonly sold as fentanyl, and go by other names such ‘blues,’ or ‘downs.’ Fugleberg was driven to Halstad by Karl Vernell Leclair, who admitted to smoking fentanyl on the way to deliver the drugs.
The men were arrested, and police say they found cash, more fentanyl pills, 26 grams of fentanyl powder, four grams of methamphetamine, one gram of heroin, replica guns, and various items of drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Fugleberg faces three felonies including 1st Degree Sales: Fentanyl, 1st Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance, and 5th Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance. Leclair also faces three felonies of 1st Degree Sales: Fentanyl, 5th Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance, and DWI.
They made their first court appearance in Norman County Court on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. Their bond was set at $500,000 with conditions, and $750,000 without conditions.
