Two Injured In Norman County Collision Saturday

ADA, MN—Two people were injured in a head-on collision Saturday afternoon on Norman County Road 35 near the intersection of State Highway 9 south of Ada.  The Norman County Sheriff’s Office tells R&J News 68-year-old Michael Wickern of Ada was going south on County Road 35 at a high rate of speed when he failed to make the curve and struck a northbound vehicle driven by 60-year-old Lynell Johnson of Mentor. This happened around 4:40pm Saturday.  Wickern and Johnson were both taken by ambulance to Essentia Health in Ada with non-life-threatening injuries.  The Sheriff’s Office says the road was icy and alcohol is believed to be a factor in this accident.
