UMC Volleyball Scorer Retiring After 44 Years

CROOKSTON, MN—The University of Minnesota-Crookston volleyball team wraps up its season Saturday afternoon when the Golden Eagles take on Minnesota State-Mankato in a 2:30 game.  This game will be the final game for Linda Olson as the official scorer for UMC volleyball after 44 years.  Olson works in the registrar’s office on campus and will be retiring in the spring.  Her time with UMC volleyball goes back to when the university was a two year campus and the teams were called Trojans. In her 44 years scoring volleyball games, Olson has not missed a game in all that time. Saturday’s game will be her 794th at the UM-Crookston scorer’s table.
