USDA Offers Additional Incentives for Historically Underserved Producers

Ada, MN — If you are a Historically Underserved Producer, there may be certain USDA programs that have increased benefits or reduced fees and premiums. James Kruize, Norman County FSA Executive Director, says historically underserved producers include beginning farmers, veteran beginning farmers, socially disadvantaged farmers or ranchers, and limited resource producers.

If you do fall under one of those categories, Kruize encourages you to contact your FSA Office and file a certification form so that you can qualify for those benefits.
