Holiday Hacks That Will Make Christmas So Much Less Stressful:
–Give your Christmas lights a metallic glow by spray-painting the chord with gold or silver paint. Just be sure to follow the directions so you don’t ruin the lights and avoid spraying into the actual bulb socket.
–Fill a decorative glass vase with a leftover toilet paper or paper towel tube and fill the vase around the tubes with extra ornaments you’re not using on the tree to create a festive centerpiece.
–Use two different sizes of lights to make your Christmas tree more interesting, maybe even more magical.
–Here’s a wreath hanging hack: No need to put a nail in your front door. Use an upside-down Command Strip to hang your wreath from the other side of the door, instead. Tie the wreath ribbon or string around the upside-down hook and then drape that over the top of the door to hang on the other side.
–If your Christmas tree goes in the corner, try stringing your lights in a zigzag pattern down the front to use fewer strings (nobody will see the back anyway!).
–Store your wrapping paper in a garment bag hung up in a closet to save space after the holidays are done.
–Hang lights temporarily on brick with hot glue. Just don’t use this trick on stucco surfaces, as it might make them melt.
–Clean out used Pringles containers, cover them in festive paper and boom: easy and free Christmas cookie packaging for simple homemade gifts.
–Make a place setting by gluing three candy canes together.
