Water quality at the top of mind for area water management groups
When you hear the term water management a lot of people will often think of flood control especially if you live in a flood risk area, but another thing that has caught the attention of water management groups over the years has been water quality. R&J Ag Reporter Nick Revier was at the Red River Watershed Joint conference and had the opportunity to talk with Morrie Lanning, who talks more about this shift of focus to water quality management, and why it’s become more important.
On top of ag runoff being a concern when it comes to water quality, Lanning says they have also seen a growing concern when it comes to contaminates like arsenic.
