Waubun Envirothon Heading to New Brunswick Canada
The Waubun Envirothon Team is headed to New Brunswick Canada to compete in the North American Envirothon. The Waubun Envirothon consisting of Tyson McArthur, Justice Alvarado, Logan Adams, Conner Adams and Aiala Zorroza won the Minnesota State Envirothon where they competed against 28 other schools. Winning the Minnesota State Envirothon qualified them for the North American Envirothon as the representatives of Minnesota.
The Envirothon tests a student’s knowledge of wildlife laws, acts of Congress, aquatics and wetlands, soil and its uses, forestry and current events. Each of those categories have 25 questions that they answer as a team. The Waubun Envirothon also had to organize and present a current issue that Minnesotans face.
The North American Envirothon starts on Sunday, July 23 and runs through Saturday, July 29. RJ Broadcasting will continue to follow this story.
