Waubun School Board meets 

The Waubun-Ogema-White Earth School Board approved a series of staff hirings at their board meeting last week. Superintendent Laurie Johnson says they have a lot of new staff who are joining the district this year. 

Johnson says the school board also had a discussion about their new teacher apprenticeship program, which is already seeing interest from staff members. 

With staff returning to the building today, Johnson also goes over their back to school plans for the next two weeks. 

Again, the first day of school for students is Tuesday, September 1.
