Each of those categories have 25 questions that they answer as a team. They also have to organize and present a current issue/scenario that Minnesotans face. The presentation is worth 30 points. In this year’s scenario, teams had to research and develop recommendations for towns, homeowners, farmers and managing the various areas of the environment in a changing climate. A perfect score is 155. The first Waubun team scored 144. They also scored a perfect 30 on their presentation from all three judges. No other team scored a 30. The next closest cumulative presentation score was the second team from Waubun with a score of 28.6.
