Waukon Dairy opening doors for students in the dairy industry  

June is Dairy Month and one of the ways that  the folks over at Waukon dairy are using the month is to promote career opportunities in the dairy industry. Ron Visser of Waukon Dairy says one way they have been promoting career opportunities in dairy is by offering a scholarship to area seniors looking to enter the industry. 

While it hasn’t been widely used by local students, Visser says they also offer other career programs to area high school and college students to get firsthand experience on a dairy operation. 

Visser says being able to introduce people to the dairy industry through programs like this are awesome, for not only the student, but the dairy operations like his.
