Weird and Wacky Wednesday: “Cat Wakes Woman Having Heart Attack”

A woman in Nottinghamshire, England, says her cat saved her life by pounding on her chest to wake her up while she was having a heart attack.  While sleeping at home, 42-year-old Sam Felstead suffered a heart attack. Somehow, some way, Sam’s seven-year-old cat, Billy, figured out something was wrong, jumped on Sam’s chest and started meowing as loud as he could.  The noise Billy was making was loud enough to wake up Sam — and inspire her to call for help.  Sam was quickly rushed to the hospital, where doctors told her she had suffered a heart attack in her sleep.  Thankfully, Billy had sounded the alarm in Sam’s ear before things got too serious.  Sam believes Billy saved her life. “He doesn’t normally sit with me,” Sam said. “But he knew something was wrong because he wouldn’t leave me. I do think he saved my life and so does everybody else around me.”
