Wheat crop at higher risk of disease
It’s no secret that this has been a very wet summer, and wheat producers may be seeing the consequences of this weather soon. Plant Pathologist Ruth Dill Mackey says that the Red River Valley wheat crop is at high risk of disease and she tells us what she’s seeing.
Mackey says that breeding has made the risk of a major outbreak unlikely, but explains what producers should be doing to prevent disease.
