White Earth Nation Chairman gives update on White Earth State Park land give back 

White Earth Chairman Michael Fairbanks gave an update on the proposed legislation that would transfer ownership of White Earth State Forest to the White Earth Nation. Chairman Fairbanks says he thinks the bill still has time to pass and that he’s been working with legislators. 

The land transfer bill called HF 4304 is currently tabled in the Minnesota House of Representatives for the time being. A public hearing did take place on Friday but the media was barred from being in the courtroom.
