ACCOUNTANT

Wild Rice Electric Cooperative is looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to help keep our financial records
accurate, our reporting on track, and our cooperative running strong. If you enjoy solving problems, working
across departments, and seeing how your work supports an essential service, we’d like to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
 Maintain utility plant, construction work order, inventory, and equipment records.
 Reconcile bank and general ledger accounts and manage miscellaneous receivables.
 Support financial reporting, tax filings, regulatory reporting, audits, and reimbursement documentation.
 Provide departmental and cooperative support by phone and in person to both co workers and members.
What You’ll Bring
 Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance plus two years of relevant experience.
 Strong Excel and Microsoft Office 365 skills, analytical ability, and attention to detail.
 Knowledge of Rural Utilities Service (RUS) accounting practices is an asset.
 Electric utility accounting experience is strongly preferred.
A Few Things to Know
This role requires confidentiality, flexibility to work overtime when needed, and assistance during major
outages.
Compensation & Benefits
Wild Rice Electric Cooperative offers a competitive hiring range of $36.97 to $38.94 per hour based on
qualifications and experience.
