Wise Resigns From Fertile City Council
That’s Fertile Mayor Dan Wilkens reading from City Council member Todd Wise’s letter of resignation at Tuesday night’s Fertile City Council meeting. Wise (seen in file photo on the far right) was not present at Tuesday’s meeting. The Council took no action on appointing a replacement for Wise. R&J News asked Fertile City Administrator Lisa Liden how and when the Council vacancy would be filled.
Liden also says there is nothing new regarding a possible sale of the City-owned Fair Meadow Nursing Home.
Also at Tuesday’s Fertile City Council meeting, votes from last week’s election were canvassed; making it official that Brian Nephew was elected mayor and Mark Sandness and Amanda Bosman were elected to city council seats. And the west side of Elm Street from the corner of Jefferson Avenue south to the alley on that first block will now be a no parking zone between November 1st and March 31st. This will allow sufficient clearance to get a snow plow through in the winter.
