With first round of sugarbeet planting over, some tasked with the decision to re-plant
Sugarbeet growers across the Red River Valley have wrapped up round one of planting. Harrison Weber of the Red River Valley Sugarebeet Growers Association tells us how planting went, and how this spring has compared to past springs.
Weber says one difficult decision some growers will need to make is whether they will need to do some replanting.
Weber says one positive thing about farming nowadays is that they have the technology and ability to replant sections of a field.
As for the amount of replanting that will need to be done, Weber expects over 10,000 acres to be replanted.
You can listen to the full interview with Harrison Weber during the Farm and Field Show, which airs this afternoon at 2 on 106.5 FM KRJB.
