Youth hunting safety reminders 

The Minnesota Youth Deer Gun season kicked off today, and our young hunters are reminded to make sure they are following proper hunter safety practices. Minnesota DNR Northwest Wildlife Supervisor Rob Baden shares some things that all hunters need to consider. 

Baden says young hunters, and their adult supervisor should also keep their loved ones in the loop on where they’re going and what they’re doing. 

Norman County Sheriff’s Deputy Brett Fetting says that another thing hunters need to do is be aware of posted lands, and not trespass, as that is the biggest complaint they receive during the hunting season.
