2 Injured In 2 MN Road Crashes
A jackknifed semi was involved in an accident Wednesday morning on I-94 in Clay County. The Minnesota State Patrol says a Freightliner tractor driven by 38-year-old Don Vang of St. Paul was eastbound on I-94 at 5:25am when it jackknifed. A Ford Bronco driven by Jim Towne of West Fargo was also eastbound on I-94 and the two vehicles collided at mile marker 16. Vang was not injured; Towne was taken to a Barnesville hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, a woman from Bemidji was taken to the hospital after her SUV collided with a tractor Wednesday morning in Red Lake County. The SUV driven by 36-year-old Megan Lysford was northbound on State Highway 59 at 9:15am, and a Caterpillar tractor driven by a 17-year-old that was westbound on County Road 7 collided at the intersection. The teen was not injured; Lysford was taken to a Thief River Falls hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
