2nd Annual Cody Holte Memorial Softball Tournament Set for this Saturday
Ada, MN — Friends and Family of Fallen Officer Cody Holte will be gathering this weekend to play softball, tell stories, and remember the local hero who lost his life in 2020 while doing his duty to protect and serve. The 2nd Annual Memorial Softball Tournament will take place this Saturday, June 4th at the Tony Sipe Field in Ada. Opening ceremonies will begin at 8am with the tournament getting underway 8:30am. Tournament organizer and aunt of Cody Holte Stephanie Okroi, says building off of last year, they have made a few adjustments, but otherwise it should be the same fun as their inaugural event.
Last year’s tournament was a major success and allowed the family to start a scholarship in honor of Holte. Okroi notes that in addition to providing aid to local students pursuing a career in law enforcement, the scholarships provide an opportunity to carry on the name and legacy of Cody Holte.
T-shirts, koozies, and concessions will be available at the ball diamond. Following the softball tournament, there will be a silent auction and gathering at the Main Street Bar and Grill.
The 2nd Annual Cody Holte Softball Memorial Tournament is this Saturday, June 4th in Ada.
