4-H Projects Ramp Up In April
Clearwater County 4-H youth will be immersing themselves in various projects of interest to them as the dog projects, shooting projects and horse projects soon get underway. 4-H Coordinator Kayla Mistic filled us in on the upcoming dates for the different projects and explained a little about each one when she joined us on Food For Thought.
Mistic adds the kids prepare all summer for the State Shoot which is planned to be held Sept. 9-11 at the Alexandria Shooting Park. Young people from across Minnesota will have the opportunity to compete in events including archery, muzzle loader, shotgun, air rifle, .22 rifle and air pistol. Skillathon, wildlife calling and conservation projects will also be available.
