February is National Heart Health Month
February is National Heart Health month and it serves a perfect time to bring awareness to the United States highest cause of death. Heart disease most of the time is preventable and Tracy Johnson of Norman Mahnomen Public Health says that improving and living a healthy lifestyle is the best way to lower your chances of heart disease.
Johnson also says that avoiding or quitting nicotine use is also a great way to prevent heart disease and says that vaping is not a healthier alternative to smoking.
Finally Johnson encourages everyone to take part in National Wear Red Day on Friday, February 2.
The full conversation with Tracy Johnson can be found on rjbroadcasting.com under the Kaleidoscope program.
