M State Student Is Two Time Diesel Engine Champion

A student at M State-Moorhead has just won his second gold medal at the Skills USA Diesel Equipment Technology competition in Dayton, Minnesota.  Cole Riegert of Beltrami (left of photo) will now advance to the nationals in Atlanta next month.  R&J News asked Riegert what got him interested in diesel engines.

Riegert’s instructor at M State says winning two years in a row at Skills USA is “unheard of.” Will this make Cole a top prospect in the job market?

Also at Skills USA, James Bergren of Lake Park-Audubon High School (right of photo), who is attending M State through the PSEO program, placed third in the high school division of Diesel Equipment Technology.
