Walking with a Geologist in VNP
This past weekend, Voyageurs National Park was holding one of their summer programs at the Visitors Center called “Walk with a Geologist”. The special guest Geologist who was leading this past Saturday’s walk was FHS’s very own Chris Hemstad who we had the opportunity to interview prior to the walk.
So what is the main lesson he hoped to teach?
Chris Hemstad was an International Falls alum who shared his journey that led to him becoming a geologist.
He was then asked his favorite part of the field.
Mr. Hemstad then shares what he hoped those attending will take away from the walk.
He also gives a map of where the group would be going in the park.
So this has always been a huge passion for him?
Chris Hemstad then shares some final encouragements for those who went to the walk, and those who want to go to the next one.
