What is a GMO, and what are the Misconceptions surrounding them? 

For many people who aren’t involved in agriculture they often go to the grocery store and will see a label talking about GMOs and not know what this means. R&J Ag Reporter Nick Revier discussed GMOs on the KRJB Farm and Field Show, and explained what a GMO is. 

Revier also says there’s a lot of misconceptions surrounding GMOs. Two misconceptions Revier addressed includes a misconception linking GMOs to autism and food allergies.  

More common misconceptions surrounding GMOs Revier discussed include bannings in Europe and the lack of long term studies.
