Youth Deer Season with Aaron and his Dad

During the extended weekend for schools thanks to MEA, and that same weekend was also the same time as Minnesota’s Youth Deer Season. So we brought in the father-son duo of Aaron and Troy to talk about the experience for Aaron going on his first hunting trip with his dad. The two talked about the feelings from the trip.

And deer hunting is something that Troy has a personal connection with.

Aaron didn’t even need any convincing from his dad to join him at the deer stand.

He also shared his biggest lesson learned one his first time hunting.

It must’ve been difficult to stay patient once that 6-point buck appeared as Aaron was asked how he contained his excitement.

As a parent introducing his kid to deer hunting, Troy was asked what he believes is the importance of having these Youth seasons.

Aaron then talked about what he hopes for when he’s old enough to do his own hunting.

As well as his goal for the next buck he shoots.
