Tommy Larson Breaks School Record Set By His Own Grandfather

In Littlefork-Big Falls, the Vikings Boys team played at home against Floodwood where the home team would blowout Floodwood 124-31. Tommy Larson would lead the scoring with a school record 66 points passing the old mark of 62 that was set by his grandfather Earl “Snuffy” Larson in 1952. Tommy also now holds the seventh-best single game scoring total in Minnesota High School State League boys basketball history. Tommy had 37 points by halftime with the Vikings leading 76-16, and he had made 10 3-pointers in the entire game. Jax Sullivan contributed with 14 points, and Emet Erickson had 11. Floodwood’s top scorers were Jonah Spindler with 11 points and Griffin Heavirland with 9. The Vikings now improve to 15-5 while Floodwood falls to 0-17. For LBF’s schedule, 6 of the Vikings next 7 games will be at home, which the home crowd will enjoy. The next Vikings game will be tonight at home to Nashwauk-Keewatin, it’ll be a 7:15pm tip time.
