Borderland Battle Boys Basketball – LBF 99, IF 55
Thursday night, February 27th in FHS Gymnasium was the Borderland Battle between the Boys Basketball teams of International Falls and Littlefork-Big Falls. The Vikings would cruise to a 99-55 victory over their neighborly rivals as Jax Sullivan was the leading scorer with 29 points. Tommy Larson wouldn’t be too far behind with 22 points, and the Vikings would have three more scorers in double-digits as Levi Thydeen had 17 points, Emet Erickson scored 15, and Anthony Boorman scored 10.
From the Broncos Carter Line would be the lead scorer with 17 points in the losing effort, and Jeremi Giddens would chip in with 10. Brennan McClanahan had 8 from the Bronco bench.
With this win, the Vikings get their first ever 20-win season moving up to 20-5. They’ll return home tonight for their regular season finale against Cook County at 6:30pm, and that game will be live on Lakes Country 104.1 KSDM. The Broncos will remain at home as they also close their regular season against Cook County. That game will be tomorrow at 1:30pm in the FHS Gymnasium.
