April 11, 2025 News -- KRJB-KRJM-KKCQ 0

The Ulen Hitterdal School Board met in regular session on Wednesday night, and there was a discussion about some budget items coming up on the horizon. Ulen Hitterdal Superintendent Dustin Flaten tells us more about what’s coming up, and he also tells us how the district’s budget is looking, with a lot of uncertainties coming from both the state and federal government.

Flaten says the board also approved another year of the Titan Town Daycare Program. With it being Week of the Young Child, Flaten also talked about the importance of being able to offer a program like this to families across the school district.

Flaten says the board also approved a number of new hirings, and a resignation.

Finally, Flaten gave an update on the school construction project, which is set to resume once school wraps up in May.

Other agenda items included the approval of a contract with Lakes Country Service Cooperative for ECFE services, an enrollment update, and administrative reports.
