Elizabeth Pinke of Northwood High School has been named as one of the six finalists for the North Dakota High School Activities Association/Farmers Union Distinguished Student Award. The six finalists will be interviewed in Jamestown on Wednesday, April 30.  The Distinguished Student program is designed to recognize deserving students who are the “backbone” of interscholastic activities…not necessarily as a leader, but someone whose participation in high school activities strengthens the program for participants, the school and the community.  The NDHSAA Distinguished Student winner will receive a $2000 scholarship from Farmers Union Insurance, with the runner-up receiving a $1000 scholarship and the other four finalists getting a $500 scholarship.
