ND School Board Candidates

The Hillsboro School Board will have a new president next year.  President Tim Kozojed did not file paperwork by the April 7 deadline…deciding to step aside after 12 years on the board.  Just one candidate has filed to run for that open spot: Bill Cotton, a 1996 Hillsboro High graduate.

Meanwhile, the Central Valley School District will also have a new president, as incumbent David Knudsvig has decided not to run for re-election.  Knudsvig represents Area 3, which includes Buxton Township and parts of Union and Morgan townships.  Jamie Kloster is the only candidate who has filed for that Area 3 seat.  Incumbent Jeremy Billings will run unopposed for the seat representing the City of Buxton. And Jeffrey Bjorge is the only candidate for the seat representing Bingham and Belmont townships.  Incumbent Josh Ensign has resigned from the Central Valley School Board.

And there are three spots up for grabs on the MayPort-CG School Board.  Incumbents Lori Nelson in the rural Portland area and Greg Mostad in the City of Mayville are running for re-election unopposed.  Former MayPort-CG Principal Scott Ulland is running for the seat representing Portland.
