Park Christian Students Give Back on Spiritual Emphasis Day
On a rainy morning in May, the student body at Park Christian banded together on several projects with one purpose… to serve. From picking up trash on Highway 75, to yard work for a family in need, these students used their hands and feet, to be the hands and feet of God’s kingdom.
This segment of Highway 75 was a familiar scene for some. Park Christian’s student body involved in National Honor Society helps clean a portion of Highway 75. Today, Park Christian Juniors Madi Olson and Kylee West got to put down the books dedicate their day to service.
Campus Ministries Director at Park Christian Ryan Kockelman helped orchestrate the projects for each grade and reflected on the day of service.
The first year Campus Ministries Director Kockelman adds that he’s been “blown away” by the student body’s heart for service since he’s arrived.
Just across the river into Fargo, the Park Christian Senior class banded together and decided to spend their day of service helping out a family near and dear to their hearts. Senior Daniel Swiers shares the purpose and the progress.
Ryan Carlson, father to Bridger and Cierra at Park Christian is battling lung cancer. Carlson spent many years assistant coaching Falcons Basketball and has been an active member in the Park Christian community for years.
After a couple hours of work, the class came together to pray over the Carlson family. Park Christian Senior Bridger Carlson reacts to his friend’s willingness to serve.
