Muskies Soccer Opens Season at Home

In Fort Frances, the Muskies Boys and Girls Soccer teams began their seasons May 6th at home with a pair of League teams. The Muskies Girls team would first tie with Kenora Beaver Brae 0-0 in their first game, and then respond with a 3-0 win over Sioux North. McKenna Mctavish was goalie for both games, and the goal scorers were Ella Evans, Makayla Gibbs, and Kali McCormick.

The Muskies Boys team would win both of their games yesterday to get a strong start in the NorWOSSA rankings. First winning 2-0 against Beaver Brae, the goals from Everest Hutton and Trent Friesen. Then,  they’d win 6-0 vs Sioux Lookout with two goals for Everest Hutton, Trent Friesen, and Robert Handberg. Next, the two teams will go to Kenora on Friday to compete in a tournament over the weekend.
