Senate leaders Murphy & Johnson discuss lack of movement in Minnesota House
Last week, it was announced that Senate and House leaders in the Minnesota Legislature reached an agreement on the framework for a state budget bill, but since then talks seem to have broken down. During a press conference on Monday, Senate Majority Leader Erin Murphy voiced her frustration with the lack of progress being made in the Minnesota House of Representatives in the final days of session.
Leader Murphy also highlighted some of the bills that are holding things up due to these last minute conditions being added to bills.
Senate Minority Leader Mark Johnson also addressed the media, and gave his thoughts on what’s happening in the House. He also called a special session inevitable.
Monday was the final day of the Minnesota Legislative Session.
