Canadian Wildfire Smoke has taken over Minnesota, and people are reminded to take precaution as the smoke can have effects on your health. Kelsey Merkens of Norman Mahnomen Public Health tells us more about the health risks surrounding wildfire smoke, and shares some reminders for those spending time outdoors.

Merkens also explained what groups of people are most at risk of health effects caused by the wildfire smoke.

While these at-risk individuals are most likely to have these potential health effects, Merkens says it can ultimately affect anybody, and she encourages all to take steps in avoiding exposure to wildfire smoke.
