Weather Update

On Monday morning, Norman County Emergency Management Director Garry Johanson toured storm damaged areas of the county with a representative from the National Weather Service in Grand Forks.  The goal was to determine if a tornado struck the county and the severity of that storm. Johanson says we won’t know for a while.

Johanson described the damage he found in Hendrum.

He also gave kudos to law enforcement and Norman County Fair officials.

Now Johanson will be busy preparing paperwork for a statewide disaster declaration and perhaps a federal disaster declaration, as well.
