Local agencies conduct mass casualty training at the Ada Borup West School
Over MEA Break, local first response agencies, including area law enforcement, fire, EMS, and the Essentia Hospital were involved in a mass casualty training exercise that shut down the area surrounding the Ada Borup West School. The training was hosted by the Ada Police Department, and Ada Police Chief Steve Hager says the training went really well, and that all the agencies involved learned a lot.
Hager explains another way that the law enforcement response to events like a mass casualty have changed over the years.
Hager says being able to include Essentia Hospital was also a big deal, as they also had the opportunity to learn a lot.
While the training may be completed, Hager says there’s still work to be done.
