Buying a home? Make sure you test it for Radon
Minnesota and North Dakota have some of the highest rates of Radon exposure in the United States, and for this reason, Norman-Mahnomen Public Health is encouraging homeowners/renters to test their homes for radon. Kelsey Merkens of Norman Mahnomen Public Health also recommends that anyone looking to purchase a home also test for Radon before closing.
Merkens also explains what Radon is, and why it’s something that you should be testing for.
People who would like to test their home for radon should contact Norman Mahnomen Public Health or their county’s public health office.
