One Dead After Collision Near Plummer

PLUMMER, MN—A Thief River Falls man is dead after his pickup truck collided with a semi Wednesday morning on Highway 59 south of Plummer.  The Minnesota State Patrol says an unnamed 18-year-old man was going south on Highway 59 just before 7am Wednesday when his pickup truck struck a northbound semi driven by 61-year-old Robert Nichols of LaPorte.  The 18-year-old died at the scene, while Nichols was not injured.  The victim’s name is being withheld for the time being.
