Minnesota legislative leaders reach deal to end session 

The Minnesota Legislature announced on Wednesday night that a deal had been reached to end the 2026 legislative session. R&J News had the chance to catch up with Minnesota Senate Minority Leader Mark Johnson who says Republicans were able to use some of their leverage to get some favorable policies passed. 

Johnson says another major aspect of this deal is a funding package for medical centers across the state. 

Johnson also spoke more about the property tax relief that will be coming to Minnesotans statewide. 

When asked if he views this session as a success, Johnson said he does view it as a success.
