Halstad Man Dies In Thursday Rollover Accident

A Halstad man is dead and another man was injured when their car rolled over Thursday morning on US Highway 75 in Norman County.  The Minnesota State Patrol says the accident happened around 3:40am Thursday in Lee Township.  A car going northbound lost control and went into the ditch.  A passenger in the car, 19-year-old Bain Alexzander Elhard died at the scene.  The driver, 23-year-old Jacob Alexander Smagala of Plainfield had non-life-threatening injuries.  He was taken to Essentia Health in Ada.
