CROOKSTON, MN—University of Minnesota-Crookston Chancellor Mary Holz-Clause will be retiring at the end of December. She has been Chancellor at UMC since 2017. A UMC spokeswoman tells R&J News Holz-Clause plans to move to Iowa to be closer to family. Starting in January 2027, University of Minnesota-Duluth Chancellor Charles Nies will serve as interim director at Crookston–combining those duties with his job in Duluth. Nies will have that dual role for 18 months.
