Permanent School Fund Amendment to appear on 2026 Election Ballot 

The 2026 General Election is set to be a big one for the state of Minnesota, as numerous positions including Governor, US Senator, US Representative along with many local elections are set to be on the ballot. However, did you know there will also be an amendment that could have a big impact on school funding? Ulen-Hitterdal School Board member Laura Tweten explains. 

Tweten says this amendment would benefit all students, and school districts in Minnesota equally, while also not raising taxes. 

While $33 dollars per student may not sound like a lot, Tweten says the extra money could go a long way. 

This amendment will appear on every ballot in Minnesota this fall, and Tweten explains how the measure appears on the ballot, and what it asks.
