Resort Near Ogema Closing

A resort on Strawberry Lake near Ogema says it’s closed not just for the season, but permanently. Late last month after the camping season ended, people who camp at Woodland Trails Resort got an email saying the resort is closing permanently.  An email sent to camper owners said the owners would be retiring and closing the resort.  The email went on to say that “due to rapidly escalating lakefront values on Strawberry Lake, it is not feasible to sell our resort as a business.”  Future plans for the land are said to be up in the air.  Campers were also told to remove all their property from the resort by the end of October.  R&J News attempted to contact the resort office, but the phone line has been disconnected.
