Update: Endangered Person Alert for Missing Bemidji Resident Has Now Been Found

A missing 25-year-old Bemidji resident who was the subject of an endangered person alert has been found in Fargo, North Dakota.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) announced that Zachariah Ausmus was located in Fargo, canceling the missing person alert previously issued for the Bemidji resident.

Ausmus had been missing since mid-September and was last seen in Bemidji on Sept. 14. Cass County authorities in North Dakota previously reported having contact with Ausmus between Sept. 23 and Sept. 25, prompting law enforcement to suspect Ausmus might be in the Fargo area.

With Ausmus located, officials have officially canceled the endangered missing person alert and thank the public and local law enforcement agencies for their assistance.
