M State Detroit Lakes Campus To Close

DETROIT LAKES, MN—Minnesota State Community and Technical College announced Tuesday it plans to close its Detroit Lakes campus.  The M State campuses in Fergus Falls, Moorhead and Wadena will remain open.  M State President Carrie Brimhall tells R&J News about the decision.

Brimhall says closing the Detroit Lakes campus would save a million dollars a year…and adds the M State system is not in financial trouble.  She tells us how long the Detroit Lakes campus will remain open.

Brimhall says there will be a public meeting November 5 in Detroit Lakes to discuss the closing. A final decision on closing M State Detroit Lakes will be made in November by the Minnesota State Board of Trustees..
